The debate about final year exams should be conducted or not?


On May 31 Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray
announced that there will be no exams for final year students
like the other year students but then why is it debateable now
also because after this announcement governor took this to
twitter that it will be cancelled according to Maharashtra
Public Universities Act.





As per a survey by Maharashtra Students Union, 93.1 per
cent of 32,378 students Want cancellation of exam. This exam
was to be conducted in month of may which obviously
postponed due to pandemic and not only theory exams were
postponed internal exams and external exams were also
postponed because this lockdown happened in mid-April.
First question arises is that what do teachers think about
this ?

So basically for some of the teachers exams must be held,
according to their perspective how one student will be marked
on previous subjects marks in this semester and some teachers
think that it is impossible for now because for a examination
to be held it takes one month time to prepare questions its
answer key and etc.


What about precautions of students ?


The first point of cancelling this exam is actually the pandemic. Every class has at least 30 to 40 students having almost 4 to 5 feet distance back forth and 7 to 8 feet distance sideways how is social distancing going to be happen if this problem is also solved what is guarantee that the question paper they are getting, the benches they are sitting on are sanitize ??


Not only this there are many students who are not
currently in Mumbai here the first thing matters is – is railway
running ? when this exam will be held it is compulsory for
government to start the trains. Also, if people are in Mumbai,
all students are not living near the college so for here local
trains should also be started. This fully means that if exams
are held all type of transport must be running.

Now what about the families of students?
Obviously for a parent the main concern will be health. Now
this is to be a point to think that if you were the parent will
you allow your child to go and sit for an exam for three hours
with other 30 to 40 students in this situation ? also, there must
be some students whose one of there family member must be
having the disease and, in this time, how is the student will
give exam?

What about jobs ?
some people are saying that if students will be pass on these
50 50 bases, they will not get job does that mean taking exams
will give them a guaranteed job? People are already suffering
from financial crisis the whole country is lagging support in
all aspects and how is exams going to be happened ? there are
many educationist who are not in support of cancelling the
exams and there are words like they will be called as corona
batch and they will be judged by what they chose in this did
they easily passed or gave the exam again.


What do students feel ?
first of all, this batch missed all the things as a final year
student like days to be celebrated , the official last day, last
exam and the last goodbye to the college. For every student
college is one of the memories which they cannot forget and
due this pandemic and lock down all this just lost in between.
one thing is that if every thing is cancelled for final year
students the fests, the days classes then why not exams.


In all this yuvasena was in support of students and at
every bit they supported students in previous year also there
was topic that there should be only 1 to 2 days gap between
one exam to other that time also yuvasena supported and
gave one year of compensation. when other years papers were
cancelled yuvasena got requests that final year exams should
also be cancelled and they did their level best to do this, every
final year student was thankful to them.

 Now also when this

topic become debatable, they are with students.

This were some of the points which I think every final
year student must be thinking of after all its all about the
health and future. This was my bit of research and I just want
everyone to support each other than letting down so I just
want to conclude that it will be easy for everyone if this
cancelling of exams will be approved.
